The art of maintaining an inspiring, high functioning wardrobe is knowing where to spot the gaps, and truffling out the essential pieces that help sync your look and nudge it into a new sphere. After all, as Luminaireco’s expert shopping team advise, there is little point paying luxury prices for everyday workhorses.

This is where Raey comes in with its nonchalance, great fit and subtle detailing. The creative director, Rachael Proud (who debuted the brand in 2015) teamed up with Paris based art director and stylist Suzanne Koller (she gave Paris Vogue that thoughtful cool girl edge) to reimagine the collection under Koller’s insightful direction. She channelled a sense of emotion and gesture into the styling of Proud's fall capsule.

"We really see that nonchalant British way of dressing reflected in our customers' style."

Rachael Proud: Creative Director

Our favourites include the macro bead print maxi dress (gorgeous for at home hosting and art parties alike); the oversized belted coat in snow white (or cuddle coats as Proud calls them); the skinny rib knits and cocooning cashmere roll necks (slip over a silk slip); and the lattice work knit maxi skirt. These big on texture pieces all stand up in their own right rather than be big brand derivative and in our era of instant copycat style, that’s some feat.

Environmental smarts are also embedded into Raey with innovative recycled fabrics, closed loop manufacture and footprint audits. It’s the kind of sunshine we need all year round.
